River Rivals*
River Rivals is a quick card duel for exactly two players aged 8 and up. Two animal clans clash on the riverbank over the best fish. The first to catch eight fish wins.
What's it about?
When fresh fish is at stake, all peace and quiet ends. Two rival animal clans fight over the best fishing spot. Both know every trick, and neither is above using claws, beaks, wings or a sneaky manoeuvre.
How a turn works
The rules are deliberately lean. On your turn you do just one thing:
- play one card, or
- draw two cards from your deck.
Cards carry different animal abilities, and many of them mess with your opponent. Whether you push for speed or hold cards for a big play is a call you make every turn.
At a glance

Who is it for?
Couples, siblings and anyone looking for a small two-player game with some bite. If you like trading blows with cards and waiting for the perfect moment, you'll enjoy it.
Conclusion
River Rivals promises snappy duels built on a simple core and cheeky animal cards. As a quick two-player filler, it's a solid pick. If you need more players or dislike direct attacks, keep looking.
