Players aim to collect as few points as possible in the game. After shuffling the 104 number cards and laying out four to start the rows, each player receives ten cards. Players simultaneously choose and reveal a card, adding it to a row based on its number, and if the sixth card is added to a row, the player takes the previous five cards.

Each card has a point value, and after ten rounds, players tally their scores to see if anyone has reached at least 66 points, with the winner being the player with the fewest points. The game accommodates 2-10 players, and variations are available to adjust the number of cards based on the player count. A special 25th-anniversary edition introduces additional rules and cards for new strategic options.
