The best games with Simultaneous Action Selection 2026

Looking for a really good simultaneous turn planning game? Then we have just the thing for you: the list of the best simultaneous planning games 2026.

What are simultaneous planning games?

Players plan their move simultaneously and usually secretly - we can also talk about "simultaneous action selection". Then they reveal their plans at the same time and put them into action.

By the way, "simultaneous planning" is also called "simultaneous action selection".

Examples of games with simultaneous action planning

A good example of a simultaneous planning game is the Dixit series. Here, all players must simultaneously select one of their cards to match a theme set by the current round leader and place it face down. The round leader shuffles the cards and reveals them in any order. Then all players have to guess which is the card of the round leader.

Another game with simultaneous turn planning is 6 nimmt!. In this card game, each player selects a card to be played each turn - once all players have placed the card face down, they are turned over and placed in ascending order on the piles of cards already on the table. As soon as the 6th card has to be placed on a deck, the player must pick it up - and the card he has just discarded forms the start of a new deck.
