The best games with units with limited vision / line of sight 2026

Looking for a really good game with limited line of sight units? Then we have just the thing for you: the list of the best line of sight games 2026.

What are line of sight games?

This list includes games where units can only see certain areas. In computer games, a related method is called "Fog of War". Here, however, the view is specifically obscured - in board games there are other methods.

Mechanically, this can be handled in a variety of ways, from true line of sight measured by a string (as in Advanced Squad Leader) to color-coded areas indicating what can be seen, as in Tannhäuser.

"Line of sight" is sometimes referred to as "line of vision".

Examples of games with units with limited line of sight

A good example of a line of sight game is Star Wars: Imperial Assault.
