History of Feuerland Spiele

The foundation of the board game company "Feuerland Spiele" was the collaboration of Frank Heeren & Uwe Rosenberg in 2012 as well as the subsequent success of Terra Mystica which immediately won the deutsche Spielepreis in 2013. Both grew up in Aurich, East Frisia, and have known each other since their school days.

Finally, in 2015, the foundation of their own publishing house "Feuerland Verlagsgesellschaft mbH" was on the agenda. Since then, 2-3 more of their own games have been created each year – as well as expansions for existing games. In addition, the publishing house distributes games from abroad in Germany.

The current company headquarters is in Eppstein-Bremthal, Hesse, Germany🇩🇪. The game publisher is usually referred to simply as "Feuerland" – sometimes also as "Feuerland Games".
