The best games with action queue 2026

Looking for a really good game of stringing actions together? Then we have just the thing for you: the list with the best Sequence of Actions games 2026.

What are action queueing games?

Players create action queues or "action queue" and execute them in order. Queues can be either "batch" queues, where all actions are executed one after the other (called "queue" in computer science - "first in, first out"), or "rolling" queues, where actions are added to the end of the queue and then the first action is executed (called "stack" in computer science - "last in, first out").

An action queue dedicated only to movement actions is called "Programmed movement", which has a separate mechanism entry.

Most of the time, each player has his own action queue. However, some games, notably the game Impulse, have a common action queue that is used by all players.

"Action Queue" is also referred to as "stringing together actions".

Examples of games with action queuing

Nuclear War is an example of a "rolling" queue. RoboRally is an example of a batch queue.
