What is the "Swiss Gamers Award" game prize?
The "Swiss Gamers Award" is an award for dice, card & board games. The award originates from ๐จ๐ญSwitzerland, was created in 2010 and is voted by an audience.
Every year since 2010, Swiss players have been invited by the Spielfestival Ludesco to decide on their favorite game. The gaming clubs and associations serve as the link for these votes. The Swiss Gamers Award represents the voice of the people best qualified to judge the quality of a game: the gamers!
The various game clubs that responded to Ludesco's invitation were asked to create a classification of their members' five favorite games. Each game receives points, from 8 for the most popular to 1 for the least popular. Voting takes place toward the end of each year, and the results of the Swiss Gamers Award are announced in February/March of the following year at the Spielfestival Ludesco in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland.
Official Swiss Game Prize 2006 discontinued
After the disappearance of the Swiss Game Award in 2006, the Swiss Gamers Award is now the new Swiss game award.
