The FallCon Gaming Society, along with its founding partner, the Canadian Wargamers Group, has a rich history of promoting the social gaming hobby in Canada since 1985. The current members of the Society felt it was time to further contribute to the hobby by creating an annual Canadian Game Design Contest to highlight and ultimately promote homegrown Canadian talent in game design.
