The "German Children's Game Award", which has been awarded since 1992, is presented annually for one children's game. Unlike the Kinderspiel des Jahres, however, this is not awarded by critics but by an expert audience (individual players, game circles, journalists, retailers).
Since 1990, the Deutscher Spielepreis (German Games Award) has also been awarded - here, family & grown-up games are honored.
