The best games with "Highest-Lowest" scoring 2025

Looking for a really good game with "Highest-Lowest" scoring? Then we have just the thing for you: The list with the best "Highest-Lowest" scoring games 2025.

What are "Highest/Lowest" scoring games?

In "Highest-Lowest" scoring games, the score achieved by a player is equal to the lowest value from several categories. Whoever has the highest lowest score is the winner.

Highest-Lowest scoring is a special case of collection mechanism/set collection, where only complete sets are counted.

Examples of games with Highest-Lowest Scoring

This system is usually known as Knizia scoring. Tigris & Euphrates is an early example of this mechanism. Players collect four different color cubes - red, green, blue, and yellow - and their score is the color they have the least of. A player with 12 red, 10 green, 6 blue, and 2 yellow cubes has a final score of 2. This forces players not to specialize too much in which cubes they collect.
