Corey Konieczka has been designing dice, card & board games since 2005. The game designer has Polish ancestors, was born in the USA🇺🇸 and currently lives in New Hampshire, USA🇺🇸. He has a wife and a daughter.
First only small work at FFG
Konieczka's first involvement in game development was in 2005 on the game "World of Warcraft: The Board Game". Here he only designed some bosses and some accessories. So he has been designing games for over 21 Years of games.
Quality prevails
Because of his good work, he then got deeper into it in 2006 and Fantasy Flight Games tied him into the development of Warrior Knights, an expansion for Twilight Imperium & an expansion for A Game of Thrones.
Konieczka has completely designed or been involved in a total of 14 games and expansions for FFG. He has taken cooperative & semi-cooperative elements to a new level. Famous Konieczka games include Battlestar Galactica, Eldritch Horror & Star Wars: Rebellion. By the end, he was even a senior game designer at FFG.
Off on his own
In 2019, he then left FFG to start his own company, Unexpected Games. Here he plans to step out of his comfort zone and design new, unique games.
