Who is Steve Jackson anyway?
Steve Jackson has been designing dice, card & board games since 1977. The game designer hails from Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA🇺🇸, was born in 1953 and currently lives in Austin, Texas, USA🇺🇸. He is also known as Vargskol Halfblood.

Steve Jackson earned his bachelor's degree in biology and political science from Rice University in Houston, studied law for two years at the University of Texas, but dropped out in favor of a career as a game designer.

He first worked for many years at Metagaming Concepts, where he developed the wargame Ogre (focusing on battles between robot tanks in the future) and the fantasy role-playing game The Fantasy Trip, among others. In 1980, he left to found Steve Jackson Games, for which he designed many games, such as Car Wars (futuristic car combat wargame inspired by movies like Interceptor), GURPS (popular generic role-playing game rulebook), and Munchkin (humorous card game parodying the world of role-playing games).
