Who is Simone Luciani anyway?

Simone Luciani has been designing dice, card & board games since 2009. The game designer hails from Fermo, Italien🇮🇹, was born in 1977 and currently lives in Fermo, Italien🇮🇹.

Luciani's first game "Frutti di Mare" he developed in 2009 at the age of 32 - so he has been designing games for over 16 years. He likes to design any kind of games, but he is known for his more complex games: Tzolk'in, The Voyages of Marco Polo, Barrage & Grand Austria Hotel.

Since 2014 he works as Chief of Editorial Development at Cranio Creations.

Game developer since childhood

His passion for creating games has been alive since his childhood. At that time he invented games of different kinds and distributed them in his neighborhood, where they were very popular. After a break, he started again about 17 years ago, he started playing around again with cardboard and wood on various game ideas. Some fortunate encounters with StudioGiochi and the Premio Archimede prize, as well as with the community of game inventors, led him to improve and eventually publish the first decent prototypes.
