Carl de Visser is a New Zealand game designer who creates all of his board games together with his fellow countryman Jarratt Gray. The duo released their debut Endeavor in 2009 (later revised as Endeavor: Age of Sail, 2018, Burnt Island Games), an accessible mix of worker placement and card engine-building set around European naval powers of the 18th century. With Endeavor: Deep Sea (2024), set in the same system, the two won the Kennerspiel des Jahres in 2025.
