Looking for a really good game from game designer Bruno Faidutti 👨? Then we have just the thing: the list with the best Bruno Faidutti games 2024.

Who is Bruno Faidutti anyway?

Bruno Faidutti has been designing dice, card & board games since 1985. The game designer hails from Frankreich🇫🇷, was born in 1961 and currently lives in Paris, Frankreich 🇫🇷.

Faidutti's first game "Les Sales mômes & Baston" he developed in 1985 at the age of 24 - so he has been designing games for over 39 years. Famous Faidutti games are for example Ohne Furcht und Adel/Citadels, Diamant & Mascarade.

Professional career

Bruno Faidutti studied law, economics and sociology, eventually earning his doctorate in history with a thesis on the scientific debate in the Renaissance about the reality of the unicorn.

Currently, Faidutti lives and works as a high school teacher in Paris.

Board games have long been a hobby

The self-confessed poker fan got deeper into the world of board games mainly through Cosmic Encounter and various role-playing games - he was, for example, one of the first French Dungeons & Dragons players.

He is also involved in the board game community with his "Ideal Games Library" website and his personal "Game of the Year" award. Many of his games are the result of collaborations with other designers.

Collaborations with other authors - Faidutti at the center of the game world

Faidutti has collaborated with many different game designers. In 2006, American game critic Shannon Applecline took this as an opportunity to investigate. Following the mind games "Erdős number" and "Bacon number" she made some calculations.

In these evaluations, a value is assigned to a person by counting the number of collaborations with different people. The two numbers thus tell how far a person is from collaborating directly on a scientific article with mathematician Paul Erdős or a film with Kevin Bacon.

Applecline's research showed that Faidutti is highly significant in the world of games - Faidutti is virtually at the center of the gaming world.
