Who is Francesco Nepitello?

Francesco Nepitello is an Italian board and role-playing game designer who has worked closely with Marco Maggi since the late 1980s – originally at the Roman studio Studiogiochi, then at Nexus Game Industries and Ares Games. The duo gained international recognition with the epic Tolkien strategy game War of the Ring: Second Edition (War of the Ring, 2004, with Roberto Di Meglio). Outside the board game world, Nepitello is best known as the designer of the multiple award-winning Middle-earth role-playing game The One Ring (2011, now at Free League). Further joint titles include Age of Conan, The Battle of Five Armies, Hunt for the Ring, and Tripods & Triplanes.
