Capy Cabana*
Capy Cabana is a cooperative memory game from Ravensburger for kids aged 5 and up. Together you keep the lazy river of a jungle water park flowing.
What is it about?
The new water park is open and every animal wants a turn on the lazy river. You help the capybara lifeguard catch anyone sneaking in for a second splash. Riders hide under leaves, and any duplicate animal gets sent off to the sunbathing area. The designer is Marco Teubner.
How it plays
- Slide animal tokens into the river, where the board carries them along.
- Remember which animals are already hidden under the leaves.
- Spot a duplicate and send it to the sunbathing area.
You win once every repeat rider is lounging in the sun. Too many mistakes or an overflowing river end the game.
At a glance
- 1 to 5 players, ages 5 and up
- About 15 minutes
- Rules for cooperative, competitive and solo play
- A sliding river board
Who is it for?
Families with kindergarten and primary school kids. Every child knows classic Memory, and Capy Cabana turns it into a team game with movement on the board.
Conclusion
The flowing river is a charming idea and gives pair-matching a fresh twist. Solo and competitive modes make the box more flexible than most kids' games. Adults on their own will find it too easy, but for family play with kids from 5 up it is a good fit.
