Red Dust Rebellion*

Red Dust Rebellion is a demanding strategy game in GMT's COIN series that tells of a Martian uprising in the 2250s.

What's it about?

People have lived on Mars for 200 years, deep below the surface in vast labyrinth cities. They have grown their own culture and now want a real say in how they are ruled. Yet Earth and its corporations still hold too much power, and out of that tension grows open rebellion.

How it plays

Up to four factions fight for influence on the red planet, and cards drive both the events and the operations each turn. You weigh the immediate event against a longer plan, then commit your units where they matter most. A single round runs in three steps.

  1. Reveal a card and pick its event or an operation.
  2. Move units and take control of areas.
  3. Use special activities to tip the balance your way.

The faction that pursues its victory goals most consistently comes out ahead, so reading your rivals matters as much as your own plan.

What's inside?

  • Multi-use cards with events
  • A map of Mars split into areas
  • Markers for the factions

Who is it for?

This one is built for seasoned strategists who enjoy a long evening at the table. The rules are heavy, a full game runs long, and every choice carries weight. A solo mode is included for players who want to learn the system alone.

Conclusion

For fans of deep wargames with a science-fiction theme, Red Dust Rebellion is a real heavyweight. Beginners are better served starting with a lighter COIN volume first.
