ito*
ito is a cooperative party game in which everyone draws a secret number between 1 and 100. Together you try to line these numbers up in the right order, without ever naming them. The trick: you communicate only through creative clues about a chosen topic.
What is it about?
Your number stays secret, and you may not reveal it even to yourself. Instead of numbers you trade examples: if the topic is "popular pets", a low number describes an unremarkable animal, a high one a much-loved favorite.
How you get on the same page
- Draw a shared topic card.
- Everyone thinks of a clue that fits their own number.
- Take turns giving your clues and discuss the order.
- Lay the cards down in what you believe is the correct sequence.
- If the order is right, you all win together.
Who is it for?
For sociable groups who like to talk, interpret and puzzle things out together. After just a few minutes of setup you are right in it.
Conclusion
ito turns a simple idea into a surprising number of laughs and debates about how differently we all see the world. If you enjoy talky cooperative games, you will love it. If you would rather compete head to head, look elsewhere.
