What is Clue?
Clue / Cluedo (composed of "Clue" and "Ludo" (Latin for "game"/ "play")) was designed by Anthony E. Pratt in 1946 and published by Waddingtons Games in 1948. The basic principle is that each player must use deductive reasoning to figure out which character, weapon, and location are in a secret file randomly created at the beginning of the game. In the US market, the board game is known as "Clue."
