What are Smash Up games?
This is the family of Smash Up games, consisting of Smash Up and its expansions.
In Smash Up, a deck is created by shuffling two factions: Take 20 cards from each of two factions, shuffle them into a deck of forty cards, and then compete to destroy more bases than your opponents! Each faction has a different game mechanism. For example, pirates move cards, zombies bring back cards from the discard pile.... and each combination of factions brings a different game experience.
Meanwhile, tens of Smash-Up expansions have appeared – and thus a huge number of permutations of factions is possible.
