The Best Board Games with Kangaroos 2026

Zooloretto is a charming and strategic board game where players become zoo managers, tasked with building and managing their own zoos. The goal is to attract the most visitors by creating a diverse and well-organized collection of animals.

Players aim to win from a limited set of prize cards by navigating a circular track, typically consisting of 21 spaces. A player rolls 1-3 dice each turn to determine movement, but must keep the total rolled at or below 7 to advance. Landing on another player's piece requires them to carry it, influencing how many dice must be rolled, while the top piece owner determines the stakes, leading to potential removals from the board. The player collecting the most valuable prize cards at the end wins.

Roll dice to acquire new roommates, who bring additional dice and assist with score-rolling activities. The dice results benefit not just the active player but everyone! The winner is the first to keep the hammock for one round, which is achieved by scoring 16 points.

Capture the kangaroos before they hop away! Players collect kangaroos by playing cards from their hand. Once collected, they can defend their kangaroos by playing the right card. The player with the most kangaroos at the end wins!

This family of card games is extremely popular in Europe and involves collecting sets similar to Game of Authors and Happy Families. Played by three or more players, each player must check their cards, and when someone has a complete set of four, they place it on the table.
